· Code used was PHP, Perl and mod-Perl, using a MySQL database. Some other internal work required .NET 2.0 (C#) using a SQL Server 2005 database.
· Developed website applications for numerous consumer brands, notably Schick Canada, Schick Global and several Playtex brands.
· Created internal documentation for new and existing systems, applications, reporting, etc.
· Created a modular functional library for most existing client applications including registration, contests, send-to-a-friend modules, etc.
· Assisted in the creation of several new sub domains for client QA of new sites, archiving of existing archival work and submission of some pieces for a variety of awards.
· Tracked inbound and outgoing deliverables using Basecamp. Assisted in streamlining the Basecamp process.
· Played a significant role in the scoping, planning and execution of several functional websites for each of the Schick brands (Xtreme3, Intuition, Quattro, etc.)

· Coordinated development and data duties between systems personnel, third-party contractor developers, Flash developers and internal creative team members.
· Worked primarily on all Kelloggs Canada and US websites and online media projects. Sites included:
· Code used was (for some sites) Perl and mod-Perl, using an Oracle 9i database and (for others, primarily newer sites) .NET 2.0 using either a SQL Server or Oracle 9i database. (2005).
· Performed server maintenance duties including server restarts, backups, packaging, and version control / maintenance duties.
· Created and maintained a secure user base on all affected servers (both Windows and UNIX.)
· Wrote extensive documentation and tutorials on all pre-existing systems, including legacy code (for archival purposes.)
· Initiated a post-project presentation process for use in sites featuring award-winning projects and modules.
· Performed QA and troubleshooting duties on all new and pre-existing functional modules to discover elements which required improvement or optimization.
· Coordinated very closely with client-side technical and marketing teams to ensure optimal delivery and execution of all projects, packages, deployments, etc.

· Coordinated teams and assisted in scoping, planning and final build and deployment of the Kashi.ca spring campaign known as the "Cardboard Showdown". (.NET, Oracle 9i) Over 180,000 coupons were shipped during that campaign and the site was visited by some 1.3 million users.
· Lead, coordinated and deployed Google Analytics tracking code throughout all Kelloggs Canada websites. This included creation or replacement of Flash event tracking for specific presentations or games.
· Built and proofed several email campaigns using the E-Dialog Campaign Controller.
· Due to financial reasons, my position was eliminated in May 2009.
May 2004 - Present: Adam's Friday Links (Brainrub.com) Senior Web Developer, DB Admin, Sysadmin brainrub.com/fridaylinks
· Adam's Friday Links is a section of the Brainrub.com website and an email list which deploys every Friday at 3:00PM Eastern Time.
· Started as an in-office email list to a handful of subscribers, this project has now grown to include 7,800 subscribers from around the world.
· Website build was completed over several 15-minute development sessions to handle everything from email creation, link addition, editing, member subscription, member editing, link tracking and email deployment.
· Continually adding new features such as open rate, return visitor tracking, forwarded email tracking, etc.
· Site was written from scratch entirely in PHP using a MySQL database. All email list functionality is handled from the admin portal.
· Currently building several automated deployment modules, including deployment via SMS.
· Engaged in a broad Search Engine Optimization (SEO) process to generate maximum traffic and drive up new subscribers.
· Created a geographical segmentation process to enable users in countries overseas to still receive the inbound email messages on Friday in their regional time zone.
· Built custom link searching functionality. This continues to be optimized over time.
· Nearly all new subscribers since 2006 have been strictly via word of mouth.

· Worked with a team of 4 other developers in creating and implementing numerous templates for several custom-written in-house CMS systems.
· Modified several pieces of template and data functionality within several of the in-house CMS systems for propogation of news feeds, stories, sections, photo galleries, etc. across some 35 national news websites.
· Created or modified several of the more then 700 car dealership websites as well as some of the internal functionality of the autonet.ca portal.
· Documented several processes for each of the CMS systems used so that new employees would have an overview of each of the systems and how they work, which sites were presented via which CMS, etc.

· Built several large-scale, customer-facing application websites for Kraft Foods, FedEx, Dell, Bell Sympatico and several other clients.
· Assisted in the creation of numerous data-automation functions. Created data-automation framework for use in import, decryption, parsing and upload of client list data that removed, on average, 8-10 man-hours of work per project.
· Spearheaded an overall shift in how Digital Cement scopes, plans, estimates, wireframes and builds web applications. This included numerous meetings to get internal account teams up to speed on new procedures as well as integration with creative, production, QA and other teams.
· Implemented CVS source control and managed version naming and revision releases for all projects.
· Managed a complete hosting migration over four months in 2005. This included the testing and adaptation of some 200 applications while migrating from a legacy ASP to a .NET environment and involved a great deal of coordination work between disparate teams of personnel. Entire migration was executed with extremely minimal impact to any customer-facing products and sites.
· Built a web application for the "Dell Digital Living" contest, Feb. - May. 2005. Initial goal of site was to garner 45,000 subscriptions to a list at Dell. Actual subscriptions totaled more than 80,000, with over 200,000 participants in the contest. Application was written in ASP/VBScript hitting an SQL Server database. This application received very high traffic and remained robust and stable.
· Led a team of six developers in managing the kraftcanada.com website. This involved using a custom-built Interwoven Teamsite implementation, and writing some JSP, XML and XSL content. Some minor Oracle database work was also involved. The Kraftcanada.com website is visited by more than 1 million regular users monthly.
· Coordination between the Digital Cement production team and the Kraft Canada marketing and IS Services was an ongoing element of this job.
· Assisted in establishment of documentation, coding, and other standards within Digital Cement.
· Built a staff-only Intranet site as well as assisting with modifications to the corporate website at digitalcement.com.
· Performed HTML and website development for the purposes of clients' customer email marketing. Clients included FedEx, Dell, Autobytel and Kraft Foods (US and Canada)
· Databases used on email marketing campaigns were MS SQL Server (2000) delivered using VBScript and ASP
· Setup several email campaigns using DoubleClick's Dartmail automated email services including setup of trackable URL's
