Hello, and thanks for visiting.
My day job is Senior Web Developer for 6 Degrees Integrated Communications. I've been there since Jan. of 2010. Currently, I build (or coordinate the build of) all of the Canadian websites for Energizer Personal Care, whose brands include Schick, Playtex, Hawaiian Tropic, Royale and many others.
On the side I also engage in web development and other technology pursuits. I've been involved in website development and as much of the technological infrastructure of websites - predominantly for marketing campaigns - since 1995.
I used to work in the music industry in numerous facets. I worked in music retail, radio, strategic marketing, tour management, artist development, and also performed, recorded, mixed, produced and mastered recordings for bands I was in as well as several independent artists. You can see my selected recording portfolio here. I left the music industry in 1999, choosing instead to pursue more technology-oriented work. I am still a ravenous consumer of music.
Starting in late 2008 I restarted a small involvement in the indie music industry, acting as a freelance artist development consultant. This means I work or communicate with numerous independent artists who in some way need guidance in what may soon be the post-record-label music industry. I find this process to be very exciting. My neighborhood is the culturally-rich Toronto Junction, and over the past three years it has blossomed into a going concern, musically speaking. I think the industry is changing in some very interesting ways, and my writing on this website follows that with some interest.
I maintain a modest home studio and have assisted on some songwriting and pre-production work with a variety of independent musicians. It's predominantly for generating song ideas.
Finally: I also run an email list called Adam's Friday Links. It's a list sent out every friday at 3:00pm (eastern time) featuring four (sometimes five) funny, interesting, bizarre or otherwise cool urls. I've been running it since 2005. As of this writing it has over 9,000 subscribers from around the world.
That also spawned Adam's Friday Videos, which as you might guess specifically includes videos.

Thanks for your interest in my site.
